TicketBAI is the invoicing control system of the provincial tax authorities (haciendas forales) of Álava, Bizkaia and Gipuzkoa. If your company pays tax in one of these territories, TicketBAI replaces Verifactu.

What it requires

  • Every invoice is generated with certified software (listed in the register of the relevant provincial tax authority).
  • The invoice is signed electronically and carries a TicketBAI identifier and a QR code.
  • It is sent to the provincial tax authority when it is issued or within very short deadlines (depending on the territory and the tax regime).
  • Invoices are chained, just as in Verifactu.

In Bizkaia, Batuz as well

In Bizkaia, TicketBAI is part of a broader system called Batuz, which also covers keeping the record books.

And the online store

  • Invoices for web orders must be issued with TicketBAI software: a PrestaShop module that complies or, better still, an integrated ERP.
  • Pay attention to simplified invoices (receipts) and corrective invoices.
  • If you also sell in a physical shop, the POS must issue invoices with the same system.
Important: the technical specifications are published by each provincial council (diputación foral) and are updated. Before choosing a solution, confirm that it is listed in the register of the territory where you pay tax.
