Declare which products are dangerous goods (22 categories: ADR classes 1 to 9 with their subclasses, lithium batteries, aerosols, vaping products, paints, perfumes, and others). The Dangerous Goods Shipments feature applies rules by class and destination: hide carriers that cannot transport them, add a surcharge as a shopping cart line item , or display a warning. It takes into account air services and remote islands and territories, notifies the customer on the product page and during the shipping process, and prints UN labels from the order. In PrestaShop 8 and 9, the filter is applied server-side. It helps you manage: you validate the final classification with your carrier and the current ADR/IATA regulations. Rekire module, tested in real stores.
Compatible with PrestaShop 1.7.8 and 9.x, with PHP 7.1 to 8.3.
Shipping and Logistics
Your customer chooses the shipping method. They shouldn't be able to choose one that can't deliver their order.
Aerosols, perfumes, paints, vaping products, and lithium batteries are considered dangerous goods: some carriers do not transport them by plane, and some destinations, such as islands, restrict them. Shipments of dangerous goods (RKR Dangerous Shipments) lets you declare what each product is and decide, with rules, which carriers are seen, what surcharge is added and what the cart warns about.
/ You declare once what each product is
From the tab Products From the module (search by name or reference) or from the product's tab, you fill out the declaration. With that, the module knows how to handle it in the shopping cart, on the product page, and in the order.
/ The rules decide what is seen and what is charged.
One rule answers one question: when the cart contains these classes and is sent to this destination, what do I do? The destination is defined by countries and postal code prefixes, the practical way to delimit islands and remote areas (for example 07, 35 and 38 for the Balearic and Canary Islands, 51 and 52 for Ceuta and Melilla, 97 for French overseas territories or BT for Northern Ireland).
/ Air and islands, marked on the product itself
Each declaration has two boxes: Admitted to air transport and Excluded from islands / remote territories. In the general settings, you specify which carriers are air services and which are islands and remote territories, one line per country with their postal codes. By default, the Balearic Islands, the Canary Islands, Ceuta and Melilla (07, 35, 38, 51 and 52), the Azores and Madeira (Portugal's area code 9), and the French overseas territories (97 and 98) are included; you can edit these as you wish.
A product not eligible for air freight will never be listed as an air freight carrier, and a product excluded from island shipping will not be sent there by any carrier. The customer should read this information on the product page before purchasing.
/ The shopping cart does not allow you to select items that cannot be shipped.
In PrestaShop 8 and 9, carriers that cannot carry the cart are removed. on the server, From the list that PrestaShop generates for that address, they are neither seen nor accepted. As a final measure, if the cart still points to a prohibited carrier, no payment methods appear. You control this with the "Hide incompatible carriers" and "Server-side checkout" switches.
In PrestaShop 1.7.8 There is no hook to filter that list, so the control is done in the shipping step: prohibited carriers are hidden, an allowed one is selected, a prohibited choice is replaced when confirming the step, and the order button is deactivated if the cart is still locked.
/ The surcharge, like another line item in the shopping cart
When required by a rule or product surcharge, the module adds a "Dangerous Goods Surcharge" line item (you can change the name) to the cart with the exact amount. This line item is automatically added, updated, or removed when you change the products, quantities, or address.
/ The customer knows this before buying.
On the product page, a notice displays the ADR classifications with their UN numbers, the lithium configuration with its watt-hours, the packing group, the net weight, whether it's shipped as a limited or excepted quantity, whether it's not available for air or island deliveries, which carriers will not be available, and the surcharge. You place this next to the "Add to Cart" button or below the product. During the shipping process, a banner explains why some carriers are unavailable and what surcharge applies. You choose what is displayed, and the text is edited for each language.
The look is tailored to your store: 23 style themes Predefined effects with editable colors, typography, borders, and shadows, and live preview, plus 12 attention effects (pulse, zoom, shake, glow, flash, bounce, heartbeat, wobble, sway, slide, fade, and spin) that run once, in a loop, or on mouse hover, at three speeds. They respect the setting to reduce visitor movement.
/ UN labels from the order
The back-office order includes the panel Dangerous goods in this order with the declared lines and a button to print labels: one per unit (up to 100 per order line), with the diamond plate of the ADR class, the UN number, the official designation, the classes, the packing group, the lithium battery mark with its watt-hours, the LQ and EQ marks, your sender details, the country of origin, the order reference and the date.
Four sizes: 100 × 100 mm, 100 × 148 mm (A6), 148 × 210 mm (A5) and full A4 sheet.
/ Back-office control
/ Multi-store and multi-language
Declarations, rules, and activity are saved per store, and the texts seen by the customer are edited by language. The module includes the Spanish translation (back office and store) and the default notice texts already written in Spanish; you add other languages from the PrestaShop translations.
/ What you should know
The module It does not come with rules enabled by default. You decide which carriers to hide and what surcharges to charge, and you mark which are air services. The demo data includes sample rules so you can see how they look. In the back office, you'll find it as "RKR Hazardous Shipments" in the menu. Rekire MODULES.
An honest warning: The module helps you manage shipments of dangerous goods, but it doesn't classify them for you or replace an advisor. You declare each product, and you validate the final classification with your carrier and the current edition of the ADR/IATA-DGR/IMDG regulations.

- The handling surcharge line could be refused at checkout by stock reservation modules ("only 0 units free"): the hidden surcharge product now has plenty of stock, besides being orderable without it.
- UN labels of 100 × 100 mm: the lithium battery mark was cut and the LQ mark covered the text; that size now uses a compact layout.
- Rules list: surcharge shown as "2.90 per order / per unit" in the shop language.
- Opening the label sheet of an order again the same day no longer counts as another printed label in the statistics.
- Guide: six lithium battery configurations (not seven).
