Let your customers create gift registries for weddings, baby showers, communions, birthdays, or corporate events using products from your store. Guests can add gifts directly from the registry page; each item is reserved while in their cart, the money is collected in a fund, and gift-only orders are delivered to the hosts. Emails are available in 6 languages and 23 design themes.
Compatible with PrestaShop 1.7.8 to 9.x, with PHP 7.2 to 8.4. Rekire module, tested in real stores.
Gift and event registries
Your client is planning a wedding and opens their gift registry at another store.
Without a registry, each guest buys on their own, gifts are repeated, and the order goes to whoever does have one. RKR Gifts List & Events Put the gift registry inside your store: your customers create it with your products, share it, and their guests give gifts from it.
/ The list originates from where your customers already buy.
The customer enters My account → My gift lists and create your list: title, occasion (wedding, birth or christening, birthday, communion, company or other celebration; you choose which ones you offer), date and place of the event and a few words for your guests.
Or you can start it from any product page: the button "Add to my gift list" It lets you choose one of your lists or create a new one with that product as the first gift. It respects the chosen combination (size, color, etc.) and doesn't touch the shopping cart.
/ A console for the hosts, without asking for your help.
/ Guests give gifts from a self-explanatory website.
/ Each gift is given only once.
The most annoying thing about a gift list is duplicate gifts, or gifts that someone left in a cart and can no longer be purchased. With this module, as soon as a guest adds a gift to their cart, that item is set aside and the list displays the remaining items. If they remove it from the cart, the item returns to the list; if they forget about the cart, it automatically reappears after a specified number of hours (48 by default).
And the gift is credited when payment is received, not when the order is placed. The module tracks the order status in PrestaShop, so you don't have to manage anything manually.
/ The gifts go to the hosts' house
When an order contains only gifts from the same registry for its hosts, the delivery address is transferred to theirs. The buyer keeps the invoice in their name, and the hosts' address is not saved in their address book.
At checkout, before choosing a shipping carrier, a notification tells you where the gifts will be delivered. By default, guests only see the delivery city, not the full address.
If the cart also contains other products, Everything is delivered to the address chosen by the buyer, and the checkout notification explains this: to ensure gifts reach the hosts, please purchase them in a separate order. Contributions to the fund and virtual products are not considered merchandise, so they don't affect delivery.
/ If they prefer money, a fund
The guest chooses a quick amount (10, 25, 50, 100, or 250 by default) or types in any amount they want, between the minimum and maximum you set (5 and 2,000 by default), along with their message and, if the list allows, anonymously. Hosts can set an optional goal, see the progress of the donation bar, and choose whether to display who has contributed. If you want to accept amounts down to cents, there's a way to do that.
Payment is processed at checkout using your existing payment methods. Behind the scenes, the module creates a virtual product that doesn't appear in your catalog, with no taxes or stock limits, and automatically updates it if someone manually changes it. Funds are only credited when an order is paid and are withdrawn if it's canceled or refunded.
/ Emails take care of reminding.
A thank you voucher, if you'd like. When a gift or contribution is paid for, the guest can receive a single-use personal voucher, for a fixed amount or as a percentage, with a validity period and minimum purchase requirement that you choose (90 days by default). It comes deactivated: you activate it.
/ You control it from the back-office
/ What worries you
It works with the Classic and Hummingbird themes. The QR code is generated on your server using a library included in the module, and the back-office graphics are also included: they don't depend on external services.
Private lists, password-protected lists, and lists of past events are not indexed by Google (you can change the past events setting), and those that are indexed include their canonical URL. The password for each list is stored encrypted, forms use tokens, and visits are logged with a truncated IP address.
Installing and updating involves uploading the ZIP file. Upon installation, the module creates its tables, its settings, its menu in the back-office («Rekire MODULES → Gift Lists») and the fund's product. To update, you upload the new ZIP file and it adjusts what's missing. If you uninstall it, the lists, gifts, contributions, and statistics will be deleted; the module will ask you beforehand.

v1.3.0
Full review of the 1.2.0 , tested with real orders on PrestaShop 1.7.8.11 , 8.2.8 , 9.0.0 and 9.2.0 (and the upgrade from 1.2.0 ).
Fixed
- The public page of a list, the hosts' console, "Create a list" and "My gift lists" ended in a fatal error (undefined variable, a
redirectToLogin()method that does not exist, classes not imported in the namespaced services, ashare()method that did not exist). - Saving a list from an order hook failed ("RkrGiftList->id_lang is not valid"): a field called
id_langinside a multilingual object clashes with PrestaShop's own. Two lists with the same title failed with a database error (the slug was checked before the shop was set). - No email was ever sent: the arguments of
Mail::send()were shifted (the shop id went into the template path). Emails are now inmails/, in English, Spanish, French, German, Italian and Portuguese, with a neutral design (shop name), subjects translated into the recipient's language and every guest text escaped./ - Money contributions could not be added to the cart (the fund product was disabled and not available for order) and, once fixed, would have been taxed: the fund product is now hidden from the catalogue, sold without tax and without stock limit, and repaired if someone edits it.
- Gifts reserved in a cart were held forever: a gift taken out of the cart, or a cart forgotten for more than the reservation time (48 h by default), now gives its units back. The counters are computed from the purchases themselves.
- Orders: gifts and contributions were marked as paid as soon as the order was placed (bank wire included), even products removed from the cart. Now they are linked to the order lines, stay "waiting for payment" until the order is paid, are canceled or refunded with the order, and the fund only adds money actually received.
- "Grouped shipping" was only a message: an order that only contains gifts of one list for its hosts is now delivered to the hosts' address (a hidden copy, the buyer keeps the invoice address); mixed carts ship to the buyer, as the checkout notice explains.
- Password-protected lists used
$_SESSION, which PrestaShop does not start: the unlock did not last. It now uses PrestaShop's encrypted cookie. - Security: every front form carries a token (owner actions could be triggered from another site), the public "send by email" box was an open relay (now only the hosts send invitations, 25 per sending and 100 per day), the guest book is limited per visitor, the story and notes are plain text, the product search no longer builds HTML from catalog data, the CSV is safe against formulas, IP addresses are stored truncated (GDPR).
- The "Add to gift list" button on the product page was a form inside the add-to-cart form (its hidden
quantityfield changed the cart quantity) and did not keep the combination. It now posts by script, keeps the selected combination and never touches the cart. - The scripts of the public page never ran (copy link, QR, amounts): wrong selectors.
- Editing the details of a list switched the money fund off and removed all the options.
- The PDF turned accents into garbage: it now uses PrestaShop's own PDF generator (UTF-8).
- Prices were shown without tax and with a fixed "€": they are the live prices with tax, in the shop currency format.
- Reload after an action repeated it (not redirect after POST).
- The back office called
Tab::getIdFromClassName, read uploads withfile_get_contents, showed token fragments on failure and printed HTML from PHP. - The demo data used the first customer of the shop (a real customer) as owner: it now creates its own demo customer and removes it with the demo.
Added
- Daily task (cron URL in the back office): frees forgotten reservations, sends the event reminders once per list, closes the lists whose event ended and purges old statistics.
- Settings that did nothing now work (public directory, grouped shipping, hide the hosts' address, default delivery choice, contribution notices, days to keep giving after the event) or were removed (login to create, duplicated GDPR purge).
- Thank-you page per order (signed link in the guest's email, also for guest checkouts).
- Hosts' console: product search with combinations, quantity/priority/note per gift, guest book, who gave what with order status, delivery address, invitations by email, QR to download, CSV, print and PDF.
- Checkout notice telling where the gifts go; gifts block inside the back-office order page.
- Translations: Spanish, French, German, Italian and Portuguese.
Changed
- Class names with the module prefix (
RkrGleSettings,RkrGleBoMenuTrait) and the QR library in the module namespace, so they cannot clash with other modules. - PrestaShop Addons rules: no
Context::, nonofilter, configuration page reachable from the module manager, index.phpin every folder,.htaccess,LICENSE.txt, coding standards.
